Das neue Integrierte Luft\u00fcberwachungssystem (SIVA) wird vier Northrop-Grumman -N\/TPS-78 3-D-Fernradare an der mexikanischen S\u00fcdostgrenze zu Guatemala und Belize betreiben. Das n\u00f6rdliche \u00dcberwachungssystem soll vorrangig Fr\u00fchwarnungen \u00fcber illegale Fl\u00fcge \u00fcber Nordmexiko ausgeben und das Gebiet bez\u00fcglich konventioneller und terroristischer Angriffe \u00fcberwachen. Damit soll das existierende System signifikant gest\u00e4rkt werden, welches aus Radaren besteht, die in Luftballons installiert sind und vom US-Ministerium f\u00fcr Innere Sicherheit betrieben werden. Die Radare sollen zudem im Fall grenznaher Katastropheneins\u00e4tze unterst\u00fctzend eingesetzt werden.<\/p><p>Die Grenze zwischen Mexiko und den USA ist eine pulsierende Wirtschaftszone, an der t\u00e4glich mehr als 1\u00a0Milliarde US-Dollar legal umgesetzt werden. Die mexikanischen Sicherheitskr\u00e4fte verlassen sich derzeit auf Daten und Informationen des US-Ministeriums f\u00fcr Innere Sicherheit, welche von landbasierten, in Luftballons installierten Radaren und Sensoren erfasst werden.
